Nanometrics Training Class Reservation/Cancellation Policy

Nanometrics maintains a full-time training staff and facilities committed to meeting customers' needs. The concepts and procedures covered in class are reinforced by hands-on exercises on the actual instruments. All classes on this schedule may be booked through the Nanometrics Training Department.

Standard Courses
These classes provide familiarization with instrument operations, maintenance procedures, and applications development. Please refer to the general course descriptions.

Enrollment
Class registration may be made through our Milpitas Training Center. Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Class size is limited to assure quality instruction. Early enrollment is encouraged.

Payment
Purchase Orders are the standard means of payment for training. Terms are net 30 days from date of invoice. Students will not be allowed to attend the class without payment or a Purchase Order.

Confirmation
To confirm class enrollment, a valid Purchase Order number is required 3 weeks before the class start date. Unconfirmed reservations are subject to cancellation.

Minimum Class Size
Nanometrics reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes if there are insufficient students enrolled. Our standard scheduled classes require a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6. If a course is rescheduled, enrollees will be notified two weeks prior to the scheduled starting date and will be given first priority in the next available class.

Cancellation
Please notify the Training Center immediately if it is necessary to cancel enrollment. This will allow us to offer the seat to other customers. Failure to notify the Training Center at least 3 weeks in advance will result in a charge of 50 percent of tuition. Cancellations inside of 5 working days are subject to forfeiture of the full tuition.

Special Courses
Arrangements can be made to have a specially tailored course developed. The length and content of a special course will be designed to fit your individual requirements. The fee for a special course will be determined by Nanometrics, based on the amount of additional preparation time and resources required. A minimum lead-time of 60 days is required to formulate a special class. Please contact our Training department for cost and availability.

On-Site Training
Arrangements can be made to have a standard course conducted at a customer's site. The customer must provide classroom facilities, access to a training machine, and all of the necessary laboratory equipment. In addition to the per-student cost for a minimum of 4 students, the customer will be responsible for the following expenses:

1) Shipping costs for student materials
2) Transportation and expenses for the training instructor
3) Service time for machine setup and qualification before and after the training

On Request Only
Some classes are listed on the training schedule as available "On Request Only." The Training Center will accept names and schedule a course when the minimum class size students is met. Students will be given ample advanced notice for these courses.

Tuition Credit Policy
A training credit may be redeemed for one seat in an applicable course at the Nanometrics Training Center.

Credit(s) received with the purchase of Nanometrics instruments expire 13 months after shipment of the system. After that time, all subsequent training will be performed on a billable basis.
